Control Rooms - Electrical

In some power plants, electrical distribution within the plant and from the plant to the substation is controlled from a separate control room, as in the case of this VVER facility. In many American nuclear plants, electrical distribution is controlled from the main control room or from local panels in the plant.

Each power plant has hundreds of electrical distribution panels (with large circuit breakers) that provide power to the individual motorized components (pumps, valves, compressors, fans, chillers) and other electrically driven equipment.
